Exoneración y encarcelamiento del Secretario de Seguridad Pública Antonio Carlos Videira y del gobernador del estado de MS, Reinaldo Azambuja;

JUSTICE FOR THE GUARANI KAIOWÁ: IN DEFENSE OF THE RECOVERY AND LIBERATION OF THE PEOPLE

DO NOT FORGET AND DO NOT FORGIVE THE MASSACRE OF GUAPOY

The Land and Freedom WG of the Federation of Revolutionary Trade Union Organizations (FOB) invites national and international organizations and activists from all peoples and countries to a campaign for justice for our Guarani and Kaiowas comrades, specifically for our comrades of the Tekoha Guapoy Mirin Tujury, in the city of Amambai, state of Mato Grosso do Sul,  territory dominated by the Brazilian State.  In the early morning of June 24, 2022, the Military and Paramilitary Police attacked the retake, wounding 29 and executing one person with three rifle shots. Five comrades are at risk of arrest, as they have been discharged from the hospital where they were treating the wounded of the massacre.

In a statement, the General Assembly of the Kaiowá and Guaraní Peoples – ATY GUASU, demands that governments “justice be done, that measures be taken, that this genocide against the Indigenous Peoples cease, that the right to life be respected, that demarcation and dialogue and respect among peoples be carried out.” The indigenous community is outraged by the facts and, once again, expects justice to be done.”

The neocolonialism of the Brazilian state and its ruling classes has attacked the different indigenous peoples. The theft of their territories and the destruction of their way of life are integrated into the dynamics of local exploitation, but also into the global wave of colonization under the regime of accumulation. All this is integrated into the capitalist world system that deepens on the relations of domination and exploitation over people and nature.

In Brazil, the situation has intensified as agribusiness and mining have advanced throughout the national territory and have gained more and more strength in the last 30 years in successive national governments.

According to the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT): “In 2021, the violence against the person was brutal. Only in the states of the legal Amazonia there were 28 murders, 80% of the total. The violence in this region reflects not only the ferocity of land grabbing and latifundia, but also the protective pairing of the Brazilian state with the rural sector. The actions of “sicarios” and “agribusinesses”, as well as public agents, resulted in 35 murders due to conflicts in the countryside, in Brazil, in 2021. Of this total, 33 people were men and two women.”

The configuration of violence occurs not because there is a lack of State, but because the State is on the side of agribusiness and mining, in addition to the collusion, when not, with the organization of the paramilitary groups themselves.

We ask to the comrades and organizations from other countries to take action, preferably at the headquarters of Brazilian embassies, demanding justice, for the self-determination of peoples and the boycott of Brazilian agribusiness products!

Peoples want their territories and their autonomy to live.

Exoneration and imprisonment of the Secretary of Public Security Antonio Carlos Videira and the governor of the state of MS, Reinaldo Azambuja;

Punishment of the Military Police officers who killed Vitor and injured dozens of people,

Right to a burial worthy of Vitor Fernandes in his ancestral territory.

For land and freedom!!!
